Membership

Individuals / Institutions can enroll themselves in different grades of membership as detailed below:


  • PATRON
  • VICE PATRON
  • LIFE MEMBER
  • ANNUAL MEMBER
  • ANNUAL ASSOCIATE
  • INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER


The Patron Membership Certificate issued by the National Headquarters of St. John Ambulance (India) are signed by the Honorable President of India in his capacity as President of the St. John Ambulance (India)


Vice – Patron, Life Member and Life Associate Membership Certificates are signed by the Chairman and Secretary General.


St. John Ambulance (India) has its branches in every State, Union Territory, District and Local Level. Membership is obtained by enrolling in the respective States, Union Territory, District and Local Level branch of the St. John Ambulance (India) to which one belongs.


On becoming Patron, Vice-Patron and Life Member of the St .John Ambulance (India) one gets the opportunity to be invited, on the recommendations of the enrolling States, Union Territory District and Local Level branch for attending the Annual General Meeting of the Society. The Annual General Body Meeting of the National Headquarters is presided over by the Honorable President of India.


On becoming a member in any grade of membership, the individual helps in rendering St. John a noble cause to serve the most Vulnerable and thereby reaching to the needy, through St. John Ambulance (India).

Guidelines for obtaining Life Membership Application Forms to become a Life Member

1) The applicants who have attained the age of 18 years shall only be eligible to become a Life Member.

2) The applicant should be a resident within the District / Local Centre of St.John

Ambulance first aid training centre through whom the application for Life Membership is forwarded to State Headquarters.

3) If any application is received from outside the jurisdiction of the centres concerned, such applications will be summarily rejected.

4) The applicant should be a prominent or renowned citizen of the locality.

5) No police case or any other criminal case against the applicant should be registered with the local police or any other authorities and an undertaking from the applicant to this effect should be obtained along with the original verification certificate obtained from the police authorities.

6) The forwarding Centre should also produce an undertaking that: -

There is no police case or any other criminal case is registered or pending with any police or any other authorities against the applicant Mr. / Mrs. ______________ who is residing at

7) The proposer / Seconder of the applicant should possess valid Life Membership

Certificate and they must be residing within the jurisdiction of the concerned centres.

8) Self-attested Copies of the following documents are to be furnished along with the application form duly attested by the Secretary or any other authorised person of the Centres: -

a) Copy of Aadhaar of the applicant.

b) Copy of Life Membership Certificate of both the proposer and

seconder.

c) Copy of aadhaar of the proposer

d) Copy of aadhaar of the seconder
